Interview with Kalaria EJINDU, Entrepreneur & Africaneurs’s Founder
1- Hello, can you please tell us who Kalaria is?
Kalaria Ejindu is a Nigerian girl birth in a small town In Abia State known as Aba. I am an Entrepreneur and a game changer. I am the CEO and Founder of Africaneurs Inc.
2- How do you describe “Africaneurs”?
Africaneurs is a word coined from African Entrepreneurs. Africaneurs Inc. is a non-profit organisation on a mission to assist entrepreneurs to take their business from start-ups to a level of success .
3- How did you come up with the idea to start a business in this field?
As the co-founder of Pkhairs.com, I watched my startup go through a lot challenging phase and a lot were not happening the way I wanted it. I searched deep and engaged in a few programs such as mentoring, networking and much more. These programs helped me to take my startup to a level of success. As a result, I wanted to start something that will help a majority of entrepreneurs take their start-up to a level of success. Africaneurs Inc. Is a platform for entrepreneurs to be inspired, connected and supported hence taking their business to a level of success. Africaneurs Inc. offers a variety of services and programs that take business from startups to a level of success.
4- And who is “Africaneurs Inc” typical customer?
Africaneurs Inc works with entrepreneurs worldwide as well as aspiring entrepreneurs.
5- Sure Africa is the business Promised Land, but what does the continent represent to you?
I was very fortunate to come from an African origin. And the fact that Africa is still a virgin land that can provide more opportunities for worldwide businesses and it’s also the source of so many talented people here in the USA, helped me create a secure network of people that I can trust and get advice from. We can help each other out from that perspective. So it’s extremely important and valuable to me.
6- Where do you think you are making an impact?
I believe Africaneurs Inc is making an impact in the lives of so many entrepreneurs, as well as their businesses. We are also helping African in diaspora to connect with their root.
7- You are only covering the USA for now; do you plan to cover other international markets as well?
Africaneurs Inc may be a business based in the US but we do serve entrepreneurs worldwide. But in due time we will start hosting programs worldwide.
8- What are you most excited about at the moment?
I am super excited with the pace my business is growing. I am so excited because of the support I have from family, friends, fellow entrepreneurs and my good wishers. I launched my business on 11/26/2016 and this was made possible because ACIU granted me the platform to do so. I am so grateful for that opportunity.
9- Any advice for a candidate looking for new business opportunities in Africa?
Never give up on your dreams. Keep pushing and keep pushing. All your hard work will pay off some day.
